Church Camp'04 - Anointed to Serve
went in to m'sia one day earlier. to relax first. jake's mom picked me at 0720. sent josh to sch. den us to sam's hse. took sam's car. with his parents and jake. jake centre seat. 9am waited for 4 other cars at jurong birdpark. left for tuas link tog. reached puteri resort ard noon. lunch. bought TAO-SA-BIAH. back. inspected the pool. littered. found cigarette bud. eeyErh. checked in. bern and i NO ROOM.. so we were like nomads. outside deb's rm, there was a crippled bat on the flr. Eeyyer. watch stuart little in the Lam's rm. they brought vcd player. slept. corrine's rm. mom dad not coming. disappointed =.I he's not coming oso. 2nd disappointment. dinner. shower. played mummy. sleep.
supposed to wake up early. to swim while i still can. expected my mens to come anytime during camp. woke up late. no water. den YELLOW WATER. had to brush teeth wash face with bottled mineral water. cuz the cars leaving for lunch soon. at ona golf resort cty club. 8-course lunch. the campers will be arriving there for lunch first. but jam. when we were abt to leave den the coaches arrived. a group of us went shopping first. followed the Koh's car. at this pl with rows of shop houses kind. walked ard with ps joel n bern. cant find anyth we like. so he brought us to this pl with more decent lookin shops.. kinda like queensway. mgd to buy sth there. earrings. PJ actually found for us e shop with e cheaper earrings. this pastor is totally CooL i tell ya! back to hotel. mom and dad visited me while gg back to s'pore from KL. camp officially started. 12midnite: surprise for raj d birthday boy! quite funny. so many of us with the cake sneaking alg the corridor. ryn, kris, bern, veen, glenn, ps joel, jo, esther.. knocked on his door. no answer. after waiting very long. raj finally opened the door. SURPRISE!! sang song ate cake.
brkfast. so-so. worship and spkr session. discussion grp. with all the adults. only youth there. youngest. the leader like "charmaine, you're e youngest here. what do u have to say?" and "charmaine, you're like like the baby of this grp do u have any qns?" haha. women's workshop. guys had free time slot. dance practice for nite's worship. dinner. chg to costume. worship n speaker session. action-songs dance lesson with uncle david. bad news: TAO-SA-BIAH got attacked by ants. left it in 381. had to be thrown away. =I tonite pet da princess shifted to our room. =)
everyth e same until after lunch. free time to shop. coaches no more pl. followed the koh's car. drove to markota parade. funny jane's mens came. totally unprepared. first thg she had to buy bought was pad, tissue, shorts.. den walked ard with jane and her mom. den with yf. mgd to do proper shopping here. 4 t-shirts: for veen, raj, and 2 for myself. 1 wallet. 2 skirts exactly same design but diff color cuz cudnt decide. earrings. KFC's tOM yAM CruNcH *YuMmiE* bought back some for ryn. dinner at kenny rogers. chicken pasta fruits. Rm44. took cab back to hotel with yf. cuz all e transport left alr. RM25. journey back looked unfamiliar. was very afraid we might get lost. prayed a few times in the cab. finally spotted the resort. RELIEVED! after nite session. durian. after bath. went over to 215. den UNO first at 211 until adriel and sam fell aslp we shifted back to 215. glenn stefan jane jake n myself. played uno until almost 6. cudnt take it anymore. slept there. jane was trying to not let us slp. den we FINALLY had peace. slept.
less than 2 hrs of slp. last day of camp. brkfast. super stoned. some sharing and thanking. item by children. packed. checked out. lunch. ppl leaving alr. the kohs and wongs left after worship. others went after lunch. some stayin on in m'sia. few taking coach. took coach4 with bern yf corrine and their parents. slept almost thru out the entire journey. reached s'pore about 6pm.. dropped off at church. met jake. dropped luggage at bern's hse. rushed down to indoor for FESTIVAL OF PRAISE - featuring HILLSONGS!!! josh saved seats for us *thaNks JoSh!!* sat opp. the stage. had free burgers for dinner. darlene looked prettier and younger. FOP was wONderFuL!! took pic with 2 singers. dunno their names. Mac. Bernie's pl. and FINALLY>.. HOME!!
