MASSIVE BLACKOUT last nite..
i was writing some stuff in front on e TV. dad was getting e golf stuff ready for next day. mom was readin newspapers. n all of a sudden.. DARKNESS.
totAL DarKnESSSs.
first thg i did was to reach out for my hp which i rmbrd i threw it on the sofa somewhere.. and my dad used tt to look for his and den used tt to find some candles in e kitchen. no lighter.. my mom lit e candles with e stove fire. i took my hp upstairs to get torches (found one in my room n one outside my rm), got some old batteries from my drawer, and my ChristMas MagiC WaNd! u know, those they sold alg Orchd Rd last christmas, colorful blinkin lights.. sO COoool~
so the living rm had 3 candles, n kitchen 1. my dad took my WAND out to play with e kids. neighbor was like "WOah sExy lighTs eh.." hahaz.. and one neighbor shone his car headlights into his house.. quite smart i'd say.. (tryin to picture: if every driver in my estate did e same, telok indah wud prolly look like a STADIUM!! cept tt e lights are low n orangiEe..Hee) brandon was playin with sparklers.. some malay kids had lightstix.. at first i thot it was just a TelOk-Indah thg, but later heard tt 2/3 of s'pOre blackoUt! Ooo..
and my dad left e gate opened! Meeko ran out!! dad got scolding for being absent minded. she ran up e stairs (and tHaNk God not uNdER a caR) & gd thg she's white.. cud see her still.. n mgd to catch her back. tried to contact my sis. i cudnt, only my dad's sms cud get to her. she was at clementi, takin MRT back.. i played e piano.. e only form of entertainment for my neighbors.. hahaz.. talked to jane on e phone for awhile, her pl not affected at all..
den my dad was teasing my neighbor.. said he need to get straws.. to blow into his fish tank whole nite or e fish will suffocate. and just when i rmbrd i have 2 pairs of neon earrings (e earring version of e lightstick) i got from VBC 2 yrs ago, e lights came back. heard u.edwin tellin e kids outside "Orrh.. Tomorrow gotta go ScHooL..!!" hahaha.. switched on e TV.. Holland V just started.. so it's abt 1045pm.. turned to CNA to see the LATEST: blackout due to Indon gas disruption.
and i thot the power was restored everywhere at e same time.. din know some places remained powerless until 11plus, 12plus.. when e electricity came back, i was half relieved, and yet half wishing e blackout'd last longer.. =x
