LIFE ON EARTH IS A TEST ----------------------
God is continually testing our character, faith, obedience, love, integrity, loyalty etc thru our responses to ppl, problems, successes, conflicts, disappointments, weather...

... unanswered prayers even!

this is the one thg i've been struggling with. i always hear ppl share testimony of their answered prayers, esp those kind relating to major decisions in life. and i wonder why i've nv ever get clear direct answers from God, even when i did ask or still am praying bout it. like is it cuz i havent been sensitive to the Spirit's voice or cuz i've asked wrongly?? so i learnt today that this is also one way God is testing me, or maybe He's trying to teach me sth. Perhaps to trust Him more and be persistent in my prayers?

... undeserved critcism.

i find this somewhat comforting... cuz if such cirumstances is one of the tests set by Him -- the greatest Teacher, HE iS dEfiNitElY iN CONTROL.

... impossible problems???

now i'm thinking of JAVA programming. i havent been able to compile a single JAVA program on my own this sem. those time i managed to submit (which is like twice outta bout 10 labs) i had my fren debug and compile e program for me. even then, the auto-grader failed it. frankly when it comes to programming and submitting lab assignmt, i am either procrastinating, copy codes from testbk WITHOUT any logical algorithms, and relying ALOT on my SoC frens. i've never tried asking God for help. after all, JAVA programming, or COMPUTING for tt matter, was never mentioned in the Bible. so i'm wondering what aspect of my life is being tested here. not sounding cynical here. rather, i AM interested to figure tt out someday.

so anyway, the author went on and wrote that EVERYDAY is important. EVERY SECOND offers growth oppty to deepen our character, demotrate love and depend on God. (this, by the way, makes me feel bad for slacking and wasting time away... for most parts of my one day.. but rite now i can't think of better ways to spend my time when i'm in the cannot-think, cannot-study mode, so i'll deal with that later =P) Every test comes with eternal implications and eternal reward.

So yes, all of life is a test. but take heart! "God keeps his promise, and he will not allow you to be tested beyond your power to remain firm, at the time you are put to the test, he will give you the strength to endure it, and so provide you with a way out."
